Elegant and efficient

concap meets all requirements of a modern ceiling system

  1. Concap
  2. Openings for cable openings
  3. TGA cable management
  4. Grained protection, recycled material
  5. Impact sound insulation
  6. screed
  7. flooring
Even the standard element, which is only 6 cm thick at its thinnest point, meets the technical requirements of modern office and residential buildings in terms of ceiling loads, sound insulation and fire protection.

With a smooth, concrete-grey ceiling base, Concap offers a special look. On request, an individual surface treatment can be carried out or a suitable color look can be implemented for the respective building project by adding pigments to the concrete.

Maximum flexibility

concap is currently available for an axle grid of up to 810 cm long, 270 cm wide and in various soundproofing and load levels. Individual dimensions are available on request.

carrying capacity

concap enables a payload of up to 3 kN/m

soundproofing

According to DIN 4109-5, increased sound insulation is possible with standard floor structures.

fire protection

REI 90 fire resistance

TGA integration without a raised floor

Cable distortion due to longitudinal beams and transverse bulkheads avoids raised floors and enables total ceiling structures from a height of 32 cm.

climate ceiling

Component activation is possible through capillary tubes integrated in the concrete.

Space-saving and intelligent

concap enables a reduced ceiling structure

Exemplary ceiling structure for increased sound insulation requirements with
  1. concap - optimized concrete bowl
  2. TGA cable management
  3. Granulated bulk, recycled material
  4. Impact sound insulation
  5. screed
  6. flooring
  7. Openings for cable openings
The gate, which is accessible openly under the floor covering, offers space for easy integration of all required cables for sanitary and electrical installations. As a result, a raised floor is not required even for high-tech buildings with maximum equipment. The lines can either be warped through openings between the elements or laid in an intermediate layer above the element.

Concap can heat and cool

  1. Concap
  2. TGA cable routing
  3. capillary tubes
Thermal concrete core activation is achieved through the use of capillary tubes, which can already be cast in the factory. As a low-temperature ceiling heater with warm water of around 28°C, Concap thus uses radiant heat to heat particularly efficiently and creates an ideal room temperature. In addition, concap can also function as a cold blanket. With water temperatures of around 17°C, ceiling cooling is controlled by a control above the dew point.

Tested and uncomplicated

concap reduces planning costs

element type A,
two caps
element type B,

concap has type statics tested by DIBt. A sound insulation report is available for all available variants. In addition, the construction meets the applicable German construction standards and can be easily adapted to EU technical standards. Variants for design applications are systematically catalogued and facilitate dimensioning and detailing. The highly specialized serial production ensures consistently high quality. On the construction site, as a precast concrete element, concap enables a simple construction process and rapid construction progress.

On request, the system can be adapted to the individual requirements of each construction project at any time.

Simple connection details make planning easier

Einfache Anschlussdetails erleichtern die Planung

concap can be flexibly combined with all common types of construction in building construction. CAD files of the elements and connection details for planning are available.

Sustainable and recyclable

concap reduces emissions and saves resources

Greenhouse gas potential for 810cm wingspan ceilings
(in% of draft reference)

With an equivalent concrete thickness of 10 — 15 cm, concap saves around half of the CO2-Emissions compared to conventional systems. Grained contamination from recycled products such as broken concrete or sand significantly reduces the consumption of primary resources. In direct comparison with an 810 cm wide flat ceiling made of cast-in-place concrete, the ceiling structure with Concap saves an average of 55% of greenhouse gases.

Concap is easy to reuse

  1. Concap
  2. nuts (2x)
  3. washer
  4. threaded rod
  5. Continuous load anchor
On the construction site, concap is bolted to the supporting elements and the joints are filled with cast-in-place concrete. The entire ceiling system works according to the cradle-to-cradle concept, which means that every ceiling can be dismantled, disassembled into its individual parts and reused without damage. In this way, concap fulfills the principle of circular construction.

FAQ

01
What can I do if the type statics do not cover my desired room dimensions?

Concap is already available in various dimensions and sizes. If the size you are looking for is not yet covered by the program offered, please contact us. We would be happy to work out a solution with you, even outside the standard dimensions.

02
What color is Concap and what does the concrete structure look like?

The Concap ceiling base is concrete grey and smooth as a sound as standard, as the elements are manufactured using a positive manufacturing process. By adding pigments or retardants, concap can also be cast in other colors or surfaces. In addition, we also offer the prefabricated parts with acidified or irradiated surfaces. Exactly as it suits your individual building project.

03
What types of buildings is Concap suitable for?

You can use Concap individually in your construction projects across Germany and Europe. Talk to us about your individual building project

04
How much does Concap cost and how can I get a suitable offer for my building project?

The price for Concap depends on the desired variant. We would be happy to advise you on your individual construction project and make you an offer. To do this, simply contact sales directly.

05
Where can I watch Concap?

You can experience concap in the virtual rooms on our website and in the THOMAS showroom in Hennigsdorf near Berlin. In addition to a cross-sectional element, you will find an 810 cm exciting ceiling with two modules. We would be happy to offer you an individual visit and advice. To do this, simply contact the secretariat directly.

Combining similarities

The idea for concap came from Professor Mike Schlaich from Berlin, who has been researching sustainable construction with concrete for many years. As a partner of the renowned engineering firm Schlaich Bergermann Partner, he found an ideal ally from industry in Eckhardt Thomas and his team from Thomas Betonbauteile, one of the largest manufacturers of precast concrete in Germany. Together, they managed to rethink the historically distinctive cap ceiling and revive it as a clever, resource-saving precast concrete — Concap was born.

Common values such as reliability, transparency and trust formed the basis for this cooperation and for 18 months of intensive, joint development work. In the process, two teams grew together to form an interdisciplinary team, characterized by pioneering spirit and solution orientation, which is proud to present concap to you.
